Pompholyx is basically a skin disease typical to youth, but it may occur to the people at any age. Pompholyx can affect individuals of all races. It is most common in individuals between the ages of twenty to forty. It occurs slightly more frequently in females than in males.

Causes of Pompholyx
The exact cause of Pompholyx is unknown. However, they are a few factors that may trigger this skin disorder. These include: abnormal amount of sweating by the individual, hot weather, stress, grief, and in some cases the use of certain detergents in washing dishes or clothes.
Treatment of Pompholyx
Methods For Treating Pompholyx are :
- Cool compresses and soaks are used to relieve and dry up the blisters.

- Antibiotics are also given to help combat any secondary infection
